The first release in the Macallan Rare Cask series in 2019, this is a stunningly presented single malt drawn from a combination of European and American oak sherry casks. The wood taste is obvious, as are piquant notes of vanilla and chocolate before the big finale, a warm and soothing finish.
Released in 2019 this is batch #1 of the Macallan ‘Rare Cask’. Each limited release batch represents the volume of only 50 European Sherry seasoned oak butts.
